Julie Stroebel Barichello is the author of The Mountain of Dempsey Molehill, Sarah & Katy and the Imagination Blankets, and Sarah & Katy and the Book of Blank. She edits and designs magazines based in North Central Illinois, including the quarterly tourism publication Starved Rock Country Magazine. She holds a bachelor’s degree in print journalism from Eureka College.
In her writing and life, Julie is a champion of the imagination, encouraging both children and adults to exercise their minds with activities that promote creativity and use of imagination, such as reading, writing, art, and daydreaming.
Julie lives in Streator, Illinois, with her husband and an enormous black cat named Vincent.
